Well the Seniors Centre didn’t survive the cold, snowy, freezing weather as well as we thought. We suffered a leak that caused two of our members to have to come to the Centre every couple of hours, day and night for 36 hours dumping water out of garbage cans so we didn’t have a complete flood. What a lot of work!

Thank you Bob and Margaret for looking after us. Also, I should put in a good word for the quilting ladies who were here to alert us to the problem and spent their day dumping water as well. Thank you so much.!

Wednesday February 8, 1:15 p.m. the Annunciation School Class of Julie Stevens is coming to play their recorders for us. This is a Seniors’ Bingo day so you may want to come a bit early, grab your cards and be seated when the children arrive.

Please, please, please be careful out there. Bob and I try hard to shovel, de-ice and salt the front steps and walkway at the Centre but it is sometimes very tricky to keep up with mother nature. Often the plow and vehicles have made things very slippery and it takes a while for the salt to do it’s thing.

If it looks treacherous outside your house it will be treacherous everywhere else too.
