Can you envision a time in the future when there will be no religions?
If there will always be religions, will they need to change to continue to be relevant?
If change is the future, what changes would you like to see?
Much blood has been spilled through history in the name of religion. Will there ever be peace on Earth as long as we have religions?
Come to the Philosophers’ Café on Wednesday, April 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at On-Line Gourmet (Shoppers Row) as Bill Fradgley, director for the Comox Valley Humanists, helps us explore the future of religion.
Once a month a speaker will introduce a theme to the Café, and then all who attend can join in respectful, non-partisan conversation, or just sit back and listen. You are welcome to propose topics and introduce them at future Cafés.
Themes should be of broad interest and national significance, and have an element of controversy to them.
As with each Café, Fradgley will have just 10 minutes to introduce the topic, and then the floor is open for 50 minutes of moderated discussion.
