Linda Stringfellow (left) and Gretchen Woodman put the pieces in place for a salmon mosaic, just outside of the Della Herman Theatre. The community was invited to help put the mosaic together for the piece, which Stringfellow was commissioned to do. After people helped put together what they could as they waited for the “Fragile Magic: A Celebration of the Pacific Salmon” symphony to begin, Stringfellow would go to work putting the finishing touches on the piece. She said that eventually, once it was completed, the work would hang in the recently re-opened Northwest Community College campus.
