Seniors new to Nanaimo can get connected thanks to a $20,000 grant from Age-friendly B.C.
Launched in 2011, the program provides communities with financial support and information in meeting the needs of seniors.
Its focus is to encourage creative environments that support good health.
The city’s Connecting with New Seniors’ Residents project helps people new to the community find services and support.
