White Rock Leisure Services is offering some interesting and unique classes that will help you fill your house with delicious smells. Explore the exotic flavors of Thailand in our Adventures in Thai Cooking class on October 4, or complete your Christmas baking in one day on Nov. 29.

If you are having a hard time cooking dinner for one, join the Tasty Connections program on Oct. 16. All courses are held in the Kent Street kitchen.

Come and learn how to use the magic of colour to create a visual impact in the Sept. 26 class, Painting Abstract – Playing with Complement and Analog Colours.

Artist Danny Chen will demonstrate a variety of acrylic techniques and methods such as impasto, the use of glazes, and mixed media.

Join Kent Street Centre’s cook, Pat Faulkner, for a day exploring the wonderful shops and aromas of Greek town in Vancouver.

After a morning of shopping and exploring, stop for lunch at the charming Tea House in Stanley Park.

Discover all you need to know to live a healthy life, with our series of educational workshops conducted by health practitioners in the community at the Centre for Active Living. Workshops include managing headaches, Sept. 30; healthy convenience foods: the oxymoron, Oct. 2; restoring emotional balance – Bach flower remedies on Oct. 6; and chronic pain on Oct. 7.

These workshops are free for White Rock Leisure Services members, and only $5 for non-members.
