SIDNEY — Last Thursday evening at the Sidney Museum, a happy group of Sidney Sister Cities Association (SSCA) members, museum staff and invited guests — including local town councillors attended the official unveiling of the Sidney Sister Cities Association’s permanent display.
Designed by a representative committee of SSCA members in association with Peter Garnham, Sidney Museum Executive Director, the display was put together by Peninsula Signs.
The display is a collection of information about Sidney’s three sister cities: Anacortes, Washington State; Cairns, Australia, and; Niimi, Japan. The board outlines some of each location’s historical and current association with Sidney.
Following the unveiling, those present enjoyed a tour of the new galleries, the museum’s current Lego exhibit and refreshments. — Submitted
