AGM FOR CLUB
The Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) of Abbotsford holds its annual general meeting and dinner social on Wednesday, June 20. A new president, vice-president and secretary will be appointed to the executive committee. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at a member’s residence. (Location will be provided to those who RSVP.) BAHA’I DiNNER
The Baha’i community in Abbotsford hosts a free multi-faith dinner, devotional and discussion on Saturday, June 16 at 6 p.m. at the Abbotsford Seniors’ Association drop-in centre (2631 Cyril St.). The topic is “Eliminating the Extremes of Poverty and Wealth.” Everyone is invited.
BAKE SALE
A bake sale takes place Saturday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Church (2087 McMillan Rd.) Funds raised will help support a trip to Benin, Africa to hand out kids’ sports equipment and build a playground.
GENEALOGY
The Abbotsford Genealogy Society holds its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 19 at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way). Doors open at 6 p.m., and the meeting starts at 6:30. After the meeting, there will be a sharing session in small groups. Participants are asked bring something about their ancestors to share. This can include photos, stories, binders, or memorabilia.
