The Okanagan Centre for Spiritual Living and the Essence Teahouse and Book Store hosts a fall open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the teahouse. All workshops are free with tea and coffee by donation.

The event starts with guided meditation at 10 a.m. for stress reduction, personal transformation and inner quieting.

Wing Chun has benefits in addition to self defence, including stress reduction, increasing focus, relieving anxiety, improving confidence, heightened clarity, intuitive understanding, and emotional balance.

Classes cover the essential elements of the first form of Wing Chun (Sil lim tao). Called the little idea, Sil lim tao contains all the principles of and fundamental movements of the style. This is an informal setting which is relaxed and non-competitive.

At noon there is Introduction to Prosperity Plus, a class not just about money but every aspect of life, including relationships, health, creativity and money.

The 2 p.m. Discovery Workshop introduces an open system of thought, a life-affirming teaching that empowers individuals to make lasting changes in their lives.

Beginners Yoga with Melissa of Blue Eagle Studio is at 3 p.m. with breathing exercises and gentle asana poses.
