Spring break means kids are out of the classroom and looking to have some fun.If you’re not sure what to do with those bundles of energy, the Frank Jameson Community Centre has some options.“There’s a variety of different activities,” said Danielle Eastick, youth program co-ordinator.The Spring Break Activity Days run from March 14 to 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.“It’s really fun and pretty dynamic,” she said.There will be supervised games, swimming and arts and crafts.“Come meet new friends, too.”The cost is $20 per child per day and $10 for each additional child.There is also a pirate swim, Saturday, March 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.There will be treasure to find, masts to climb and a water cannon to blast.Admission is $4.For more information on any of these programs, please call 250-245-6424.Pharmacist Steve Robinson used Pharmacy Awareness Week to remind spring break travellers to check with their local pharmacist before leaving.Vaccinations and over the counter medications may be needed for some globe trotting students.
