Lightning Strike, a painting by Janet Linehan, is among the images by Teresa Knight and her students now on display at Café Adagio in Parksville through March.

The work of artist and painting instructor Teresa Knight and her students will be featured at Cafe Adagio through the month of March as part of the McMillan Arts Centre’s Members Out and About external exhibits at Cafe Adagio.

Those considering trying their hand at painting are invited to come and see what like-minded others have produced after just a handful of lessons with Knight.

Knight started painting as a child when she and her sisters would draw and paint to pass rainy days at their cottage. She continued in art and obtained her B.A. in Studio Arts and Bachelor of Education in Art from the University of British Columbia.

She currently paints and teaches painting out of her Union Bay studio and exhibits her work at her studio and various West Coast venues.

She often donates paintings to help animal welfare organizations.

For more information on Knight’s work, visit her website at www.teresaknight.com.

Cafe Adagio is located at 147 Harrison Avenue in Parksville. Hours are Monday through Saturday from

7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, contact the McMillan Arts Centre at 250-248-8185.
