Libraries in Abbotsford are among those participating in the Fraser Valley Regional Library’s (FVRL) summer reading clubs.

There is a club for everyone from preschoolers to adults. All are free to join, and offer the chance to win prizes. Free programs, contests and displays take place throughout the summer.

This year’s theme is “Strange … But True?”

Participants in the Kids Summer Reading Club or the Read-to-Me Reading Club receive a reading record, bookmark and weekly mix-and-match stickers. Children who complete their reading record are eligible to receive a medal.

Students in Grades 7 to 12 who sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Club are eligible to win several prizes – including netbooks, digital camcorders and $100 Chapters gift cards – for every seven days that they read.

For more information, go to the website fvrl.ca or visit Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way), MSA Centennial Library (33660 South Fraser Way) or Mt. Lehman Library (5855 Mt. Lehman Rd.).
