One of Sun Life Financial’s elite producers in B.C. has given a boost to cardiac care in Surrey.

Victor Beesla selected Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation as his charity of choice in honour of his recent recognition.

The $6,000 donation has been designated towards South Asian cardiac care, which follows Sun Life’s support of the Punjabi Cardiac Rehab Education Program.

In 2007, the company provided $100,000 to launch the program, which provides education classes to those who suffer from heart disease or are at high-risk.

The program is modelled after an English version and is being offered at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre.
