Surrey nail artist Winnie Huang (The RAWR Shop) will represent next-generation beauty talent in Chicago this month.

Huang will take part in a runway presentation at the fourth-annual Beauty Changes Lives Experience – dubbed NEXTGEN – at Soldier Field in the city’s South Side.

“It is with the utmost pride and sincerity to be named one of the NEXTGEN artist. This is truly an indescribable feeling,” said Huang. “I hope to represent our industry well, and put Canada on the map.”

Huang was named as one of the NEXTGEN arists after placing in the top three in the worldwide Next Top Nail Artist competition put on by NAILS Magazine. That competition is ongoing.

The Beauty Changes Lives Foundation, which runs the event in Chicago, was created by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools to build awareness of the career opportunities in the beauty, wellness and massage therapy industries.

Since 2013, the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to aspiring beauty and wellness professionals.
