Clearwater United Church responded recently to an appeal by the Evangelical Lutheran Church for sweaters for refugees in Syria. Loading up Reverend Brian Krushel’s car with boxes of donated sweaters are (l-r) Leslie Ross, Brian Krushel, Greg Gregory and Mary Neathway. Krushel is a Lutheran pastor who has taken on the leadership of the North Thompson Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada, which includes both Clearwater and Barriere. Clearwater United Church is becoming a shared ministry with the Lutheran and Anglican denominations as the Church of St. Paul in Barriere already is.
