Wan Wan invites you to enjoy the July 1 Canada Day as a participant, or better yet as a volunteer.
Celebrate Canada Day is our annual, free community festival held in Waterfront Park, Jim Stuart Park and, new this year, Kerry Park, as well as Prospera Place.
There will be live music on five outdoor stages, children’s games, information displays, handcrafted art, fireworks and yummy festival food.
All the activities and performances are multi-generational and family-friendly, sure to entertain festival goers all day long. We are keen to provide a “real Canadian” experience.
If you feel like your passion about being a Canadian could not be fully expressed, why not take a chance and be a real host for Canada Day?
If Canada is one of your journeys, why not take a chance and do something special that would make this a piece of your memory with Kelowna remarkable?
If you enjoy meeting new people, being in the crowd, supporting the community and most important, having a taste of “Canadian,” join us at Festival Kelowna and volunteer on Canada Day for some fun, and return home after watching the fireworks on the lake with satisfaction.
Volunteers can wear different hats:
• Information booth: Give event attendees directions to ATMs, washrooms, stages, help with lost and found, collect donations and put sticker tattoos on attendees with water
• Kid’s zone attendants: Assist sponsors with kid’s activities
• Parking lot attendants: Direct performers and volunteers to assigned parking lots
• General site labor (floaters): Assist other volunteers to carry things around and fill up positions that needed more people.
Orientation, refreshments and T-shirt will be provided by Festival Kelowna. Please contact Wan for more information: www.wan@ymail.com or 250-215 9920. You can also find us on Facebook.
