Laurie Bartley submitted the following ideas for volunteers at Kelowna Waldorf School. “Our school grounds host flower and vegetable gardens among mature trees, a water fountain and a bell tower. The grounds require constant care amidst the changing seasons.

“Inside, reading with children, maintaining libraries, as well as light housekeeping such as watering flowers and tidying hallways and the kitchen area, are tasks undertaken with joy.

“Many volunteers use their skills pulling together all facets of our annual Christmas Faire and Spring Gala, which put the ‘FUN’ in fundraising.

“The board of directors, parent council, parent action group, pr and marketing, plus many other development portfolios utilize volunteers to create a vibrant and collaborative community environment.

“Our talented and caring faculty also offers countless volunteer hours to make Kelowna Waldorf School a place where the wholeness of each child is nourished and supported.

“Whether current or past parents, alumni, or friends, all are a welcome part of our school community.  Some have served since inception in 1982. In grateful spirit, each is appreciated.”
