The United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.
They establish trusted partnerships with people who want to ensure that everyone has a good place to call home by investing in positive community impact that focuses on vulnerable children, adults and seniors.
This means quality support for children who develop into confident adults; help for vulnerable adults and families who then contribute to a stable community; and assistance to seniors who become happier, more independent and enjoy a better quality of life.
If you want to be part of this long term, sustainable change, why not volunteer with the United Way?
Two positions are currently available: Operational support and special events.
Are you open to learning? Adaptable? Outgoing? An effective communicator? Creative? Imaginative?
Becoming involved as an operational support volunteer positions you to act as an ambassador for the United Way CSO.
You would assist the team with administrative and relationship-focused activities in the office.
Are you sociable? Able to multi-task? Interested in collaboration? Available to attend events during the day or in the evenings? Do you communicate well?
As a special event support volunteer you would learn about how events support the United Way CSO’s mission. You would be involved in the preparation and implementation of a wide variety of activities throughout the year.
