This wonderfully creative building of glass walls and arched wooden beams, with the sounds of music and theatre rolling out it’s open doors—Wonder what we’re about?
Have you walked by it and not known really what goes on inside? You are amongst many and we continue to work on changing that.
We sit in the Cultural District tucked between the Kelowna Art Gallery and the Laurel Packing House—two of Kelowna’s landmark sites. We are the new kid on the block—with 11 years of wonder going on inside.
At the Rotary Centre for the Arts, we continually strive to improve the economic, cultural and social quality of life in the community by fostering the participation in, and appreciation of the arts.
We are a unique City of Kelowna facility in which individuals of all ages and backgrounds can come together to share in the excitement of strengthening art and culture in the Okanagan.
We collaborate with government, business, community groups and individuals in the development of the arts. Participation in the arts is a path to improved health, healing and wellbeing.
We are a multi-faceted facility with our own RCA Presents annual series; locals coming out weekly on Thursdays to listen to live Jazz; we offer $5 drop-in programs for drumming and salsa alike.
It gets more in-depth being a rental facility. It is home to Chamber Music Kelowna’s annual concert series in our intimate theatre that seats 326. We are home to many local businesses’ renting our many rooms (boardroom, theatre, dance studios, art rooms).
We have four exhibition spaces that artisans sign up for—with all exhibits changing monthly—always something new and fresh on our walls.
Catered events on-site are fun and enticing with the food tantalizing all who taste it. Our bistro welcomes customers on a daily basis with phenomenal quiches, homemade soups and sandwiches—and, on-site made gelato.
Our venue has volunteers in the following areas: Theatre ticket takers, theatre ushers, bistro, and catered events.
We welcome all volunteer inquiries for our vibrant centre—we look forward to hearing from you.
