UPCOMING EVENTS:
Feb. 25 – The Chilliwack Library is offering ‘Sit and Be Fit: Chair Yoga’ on Monday, Feb. 25 from 2-3 p.m. A trained yoga instructor will demonstrate yoga exercises that can be performed from a seated position. No special equipment is needed and the exercises will be modified according to your fitness needs.
March 2 – Kids ages 3-9 are invited to the Yarrow Library as they read some classic Mo Willems stories, play some “Mo” games, and create a “Mo” inspired craft during Mad about Mo! (Books by Mo Willems) on Saturday, Mar. 2 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
March 6 – The Kidney Foundation presents ‘Your Amazing Kidneys – Master Chemists in Your Body’ at the Chilliwack Library Wednesday, March 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. Learn the signs and symptoms of kidney disease, including which groups are at risk at this informative presentation.
March 7 – Award-winning photographer John Gordon will share the secret to photographing the diverse species of birds that live in the Lower Mainland. Join him for ‘World Cultures Month Travel Program: Photographing Birds in the Lower Mainland’ on Thursday, March 7 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Yarrow Library. Learn where and when to go and what camera equipment is needed.
March 13 – The United Kingdom is one of the most diverse countries in the world. Join travel photographer John Gordon for a photographic tour of some of the UK’s lesser known places. His presentation, Off the Beaten Track: The United Kingdom, is Wednesday, March 13 from 7-8 p.m. at the Chilliwack Library.
March 16 – The Friends of the Chilliwack Library invite the public to its Book Sale Blitz on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All books are $5 a bag (bag provided).

The Yarrow Library Book Club meets every third Thursday of the month (6:30 to 7:45 p.m.) to discuss the books they’ve read at the Yarrow Library. Join the staff for lively discussions of selected titles. Chosen books will change monthly and copies are provided by library. New members are welcome to join at any time. Homeschooling families are invited to monthly sessions with outreach librarian, Jacque Garden, every Thursday at the Yarrow Library from 10 to 11 a.m. (Jan. 24 to April 25). Jacque will be conducting information sessions to help meet your educational and literacy needs. Let them show you how the Yarrow Library can be your community learning centre for all ages.
