Once again Yellowhead 4-H Club Speech Day was held at the Barriere Lions Hall at 10 a.m. on Feb. 19.

We had some winter weather in the morning, but everyone made it safely and it was warm in the hall.

A number of 4-H members preformed there wonderful speeches, even the brave little pre-clubbers Eva Stephens and Clara Tremblay got up on stage to perform.

We had a potluck lunch break with lots of yummy food. During this time people had a chance to bid on items from the silent auction.

After lunch, there were more lovely speeches, and Senior Impromptus (short unprepared speeches done by each senior member).

Thank you to the MC’s Jonathon Fennell and Josh Tremblay. And a big thank you to the honorable judges:

Senior Judges- Farran Lyons, Marina Brem, Kelly Evans

Junior Judges- Christine Oates, Debbie Fraser, Brent Hamblin

Congratulation to all the winners.

1st – Kathleen Pilatzke

2nd – Samantha Jones

3rd – Sheldon VanSickle

Juniors:

1st – Tanner Schilling

2nd – Logan Jones

3rd – Rachel Bijl
