Maple Ridge RCMP blocked off a street while officer investigated a shooting incident on Saturday, Sept. 2.

207th Street between Maple Crescent and 113th Avenue was expected to remain closed to traffic for several hours.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Mike Kwan confirmed shots were fired at a residence some time overnight, but police were not tipped until several hours had passed.

“It was a late report,” Kwan said.

It did not immediately appear that anyone was injured, Kwan said.
