The Cariboo Regional District is taking its board on the road.

On Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17 the CRD will host the 2011 Board on the Road meetings at the 150 Mile Community Hall.

Following a policy session that takes place on the afternoon of June 16, the 150 Mile House Trails and Greenbelt Society will host the CRD community barbecue from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for the society that is organizing the community’s 150th anniversary celebrations in July.

The event is open to all residents of Electoral Area F and all forest industry related workers as part of the CRD’s 2010-2011 Forest Capital of Canada designation.

The community is invited to come out and meet its elected officials and discuss local issues.

The board will reconvene Friday, June 17 at 9:30 a.m. in the community hall for the regularly scheduled board meeting.  Some of the items on the agenda at the policy meeting will include: town hall meetings, corporate green house gas emissions, unsightly premise and general nuisance bylaw, insurance for directors, board members and volunteers and a CRD social media and communications policy.

All CRD residents are welcome to attend the Board on the Road events.
