Four people were taken to hospital after a side-by-side rolled over near Seabird Island Thursday night.

According to Sgt. Mike Sargent, the Agassiz RCMP were called out to an incident near Skw Kwil Road around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.

A UTV, also known as a side-by-side or utility task vehicle, had rolled over while being driven near the road. Residents posted on Facebook that night saying they saw a lot of emergency vehicles in the area, and heard an air ambulance going overhead.

Sargent said two adults and two children were transported to hospital — one of the adults was airlifted to hospital. All had non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
