A 79-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near about 10 kilometres west of Keremeos Friday.

Cpl. Brian Evans of the Keremeos detachment of the RCMP said the man died of injuries in hospital.

The collision occurred between a pickup truck and an Aaudi round 6 p.m. where the Ashnola Road meets Highway 3.

The driver of the east travelling Audi suffered non-life threatening injuries.

“It appears that the pickup truck was trying to go across the highway. There is a small road across the highway. It seems he was trying to get to it.”

The collision is still under investigation.
