An Abbotsford business will receive a $900,000 federal government investment that will help create 60 new jobs.
Dynamic Windows and Doors will use the money to build and market German-designed wood window systems for ultra-low energy structures.
Abbotsford MP Ed Fast announced the funding Thursday morning at Dynamic’s Progressive Way manufacturing facility.
The funding comes from Natural Resources Canada’s Investments in the Forest Industry Transformation program, which aims to help the forest sector become more economically competitive and environmentally sustainable.
“In addition to adding well-paying jobs and supporting the local economy, this project is an important step in fostering the creation of high-value products manufactured here in Abbotsford and across Canada,” Fast said in a press release.
Dynamic will be the first business in Canada to market the so-called “passivhaus” window system, which focuses on energy savings.
