Florence is the only surviving member of her seven other siblings – six brothers and one sister – and she has one son, Allan, who was born in June of 1944.

She also has four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

During her birthday celebration, Florence was presented with a congratulatory letter from Mission Mayor Randy Hawes, which was presented to her by former councillor Heather Stewart.
