Alkali Lake’s Josh Johnson is treated by first aid personnel after being mowed down and dragged a short distance by a horse during Sunday’s Mountain Horse Race. Johnson was viewing the race from behind the spectator fence when a horse ridden by Langley competitor Christa Byrd came flying out of control through the spectator gate, clipped a vehicle and hit Johnson before stopping and tossing Byrd off. Luckily, neither Byrd nor Johnson sustained any serious injuries.
