City utility operator Pat Mahood oversees the operation of one of the City’s new water sanitation systems. The City recently replaced the old system — that required liquid chlorine gas to be on site — with one that combines salt, electricity and water to make a 0.8 per cent chlorine mixture. Mahood said the new system is much safer and now affordable.
