An accident closed down the main artery in Vernon briefly Tuesday afternoon.
Traffic was being re-routed around Highway 97, locally 32nd Street, near 42nd Avenue on Tuesday shortly before 2 p.m. after a two-vehicle accident in front of Denny’s.
Emergency crews were on scene and one person was examined by paramedics. The highway was re-opened shortly after 3 p.m.
