An accident on Tuesday, Dec 11, closed Highway 16 for several hours.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident which occurred around 5:45 p.m. east of Trout Creek.
One driver, a female, had to be extricated from her vehicle by Smithers Fire and Rescue. She was then transported to Vancouver by air medieval.
Police said alcohol was not a factor, but are continuing their investigation.
