A single vehicle crashed into a utility pole around 7:27 p.m., Sunday, at Striker’s Corner while travelling south on Hot Springs Road.
“We were paged out at 19:27 p.m., it was a single vehicle into a utility pole — the vehicle lost control and there were two people inside,” said Agassiz Fire Chief Wayne Dyer.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle with the jaws of life and the passenger was pulled from the door on her side.
“Both were transported to Chilliwack General Hospital,” said Dyer.
Alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the incident.
