729 women and 459 men took part in Saturday’s Across the Lake Swim, combining for a total of 1,188 participants – the highest number in the swim’s 67 year history.
Liam Desjarlais of Prevost, Quebec was the first to finish with a time of 21:30.
Kelowna’s Josh Zakala and Kamloops’ Colin Gilbert were next, each with a time of 21:36.
The fastest woman to complete the swim was Jersey Bishop of Markham, Ontario at 22:58.
