The Agassiz Elementary Secondary School Graduation Ceremonies commenced Friday evening as students, teachers, friends, family and dignitaries met in the AESS gym to honour the class of 2017.
Students were dressed in formal attire as they were congratulated by the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, the District of Kent, the First Nations Communities, the Superintendent of Schools and the School Board.
The Valedictorian Address was given by Jordan Baker and numerous scholarships, bursaries and awards were handed out throughout the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the graduates formed a receiving line, before heading to the Harrison Resort & Spa to enjoy a banquet and dance to commemorate the evening.
