Agassiz Centre for Education barbecue stolen

ACE Seeks donations to buy a new barbecue quickly as Intergenerational Event scheduled for this Monday, June 1

The barbecue belonging to the Agassiz Centre for Education (ACE) was stolen some time over the weekend of May 24.

Administrator Sandy Balascak says the theft is made worse because their second Intergenerational Event, complete with barbecue, is scheduled for this Monday, June 1st.

“We rely on that barbecue for all of our ACE Burger events, and it is a crucial part of our fundraising,” writes Balascak.

The barbecue was stored at the Agassiz Legion, in an outdoor shed with a heavy duty chain.

They are seeking donations to buy a new barbecue quickly. For more information, contact the school at 604-796-9496.

If you have any information related to the theft, contact ACE or the Agassiz RCMP detachment at 604-796-2211.
