This is a significant jump from the previous week’s dip down to five cases and 14 cases from the week before. Jan. 3 to 9 is 2021’s second worst week to date with 19 new cases of COVID-19.

Though there is a new spike in local COVID activity, there hasn’t been any consistent rising action for more than a week at a time since the year began.

The District of Kent has reported 350 vaccinations delivered for each of the past three weekly vaccination clinics at the Agassiz Agricultural Centre, totaling up to 1,050; this is the equivalent of one dose for roughly a sixth of Agassiz’s population and nearly two-thirds of Harrison Hot Springs.
