Air Canada has added a third Monday-to-Friday afternoon flight out of Prince Rupert Airport (YPR) for the summer.
Effective June 1, early schedule listings show three flights departing YPR to Vancouver (YPR) at 11:15 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Monday to Friday, using the Dash 8 series of aircraft.
Return flights are shown to arrive from Vancouver at YPR, touching down at 10:49 a.m., 3:04 p.m. and 7:49 p.m. on weekdays.
The airport bus departing from downtown is scheduled to leave at 9:15 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. daily, with a weekday departure at 1:25 p.m., to get to the Digby Island ferry.
The third flight is expected to ease revenue burdens on the city created by the loss of Hawkair at YPR last year.
