Gas thieves are the likely culprits behind U-Haul truck fire at Aldergrove Market Tuesday morning, Jan. 20 around 3 a.m.
The alarm was turned in by staff at the 7-Eleven store across 272 Street from the market, on Fraser Highway, and it was extinguished by Aldergrove fire fighters before it spread to neighbouring buildings.
Over the years the market’s U-Haul trucks have been repeatedly hit by gas thieves who drill into the gas tanks when the gas caps are locked.
