Alpine Independent School Directors are disappointed to announce that Alpine will not open its doors this September, due to insufficient enrollment.

“It’s been a great learning experience for us”, said Alpine Director Anna Urban.

“We met some wonderful teachers through our recruitment process and were disappointed we were unable to offer our preferred candidate employment this year.

Any of our final teacher candidates would have been a great addition to the Golden community.”

Directors are already looking ahead to September, 2012.

“We will take a bit of a holiday for the remainder of the summer,”  Urban explained, “but we are eager to get back to work again in the fall.”

If you are interested in enrolling your child for the September 2012 school year, contact Alpine Independent’s board of directors at info@khciss.org or phone 250-344-3202.

Alpine Independent School is operated by Kicking Horse Country Independent School Society (KHCISS).  KHCISS is a non-profit society with partial public funding governed by a board of directors from the Golden community.
