It’s his final year at Fort St. James Secondary School for Morgan Bennison.
And what a year it’s been so far for the grade 12 student who is thrilled to be on the boy’s senior soccer team.
The team just recently made it to the provincials which will be coming up in November in Surrey.
“I really wanted to play this year,” Bennison said. “I’m so happy I got the chance to try it.”
His coach, James Waddell, says that Bennison is always hard working, dedicated, a great team player who’s always focused on his goals.
“He’s excelled highly on the team and he’s taken on leadership goals as well,” Waddell said.
Bennison looks forward to graduating this year and hopes to study at the University of British Columbia in Prince George in September.
“I want to become a Forestry Biologist and work for management,” Bennison said.
When not in school, Bennison loves sailing and unicycling with his younger brother.
Sandi Taylor, a learning support worker at the high school says that Bennison is kind and always goes out of his way to help others.
“I’ve had a great time at this school,” Bennison said.
“We have everything around us: a gym, a library, ski hill and the lake. It just can’t get better.”
