Conditions on Highway 6 are back in the spotlight.
On Tuesday, Transportation Minister Blair Lekstrom and Vernon-Monashee MLA Eric Foster will make an announcement on “significant improvement projects on two North Okanagan highways,” states a government media advisory.
The press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Coldstream Ranch.
In October 2010, the provincial government announced plans for a $12 to $15 million project to realign Highway 6 between Grey and Ricardo roads, as well as a new railway crossing. Construction has not began yet.
