Annual May Day parade offers weekend fun

Roughly 150 people show up to check out the procession

Clearwater Rotary Club’s annual May Day parade 2019 saw a good turnout, with roughly 150 people showing up to check out the procession.

Winners of the float judging for the business category included Home Hardware, first place, Canfor, second place, and Clearwater Towing, third place.

For the clubs and organizations category, Wells Gray County Seniors Society came in first with the District of Clearwater in second and Military Veterans in third.

In the category for classic cars Henry Werkman came in first with his 34 International and Larry Tucker came in second with a 1954 Ford.

The category for individuals saw the Big Honker take first place and the winner of the $100 prize for best float was Wells Gray County Seniors Society.
