The annual Thunder Alley Stomp ‘n Toy Run roared in to Barriere on Saturday, Aug. 25, with just under 70 bike riders participating.
The parking lot in front of AG Foods and the IDA was filled with all manner of rods and bikes, as well as numerous area residents out to check it all out.
Organizers Barb and Paul Morris did an amazing job of coordinating the event and keeping everyone happy and having a good time, despite the heavy wildfire smoke in the area and a downpour of rain later in the day during the games.
The Barriere Legion pulled out all the stops with a delicious steak dinner and dance that evening, and everyone went home saying
they would be back next year.
The annual event is a fundraiser for the Barriere Food Bank, and by the mountain of toys, goods and donations delivered by Toy Run participants, Christmas will be a good one this year for many families in need of a helping hand.
