Another pot bust at 103 Mile

On Feb. 29, 100 Mile RCMP, with the assistance from the North District Integrated Marijuana Enforcement Team and other support units, executed a search warrant pursuant to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act on a residence on Saunders Crescent at 103 Mile House.

Technicians from BC Hydro, Fortis Gas and the 100 Mile House Fire-Rescue were required to assist in making the residence safe for investigators to process the scene.

Some 294 mature marijuana plants and five kilograms of harvested marijuana were seized along with pot production equipment and a hydro bypass.

The street value of the seized marijuana is estimated to be $170,000.

One male was arrested inside the residence. Charges of production of marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended to Crown against a 28-year-old resident of Surrey.
