Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 32 calls for service from September 17, 8 AM to September 18, 8 AM.
Downtown Terrace
- during patrols police observed a woman openly drinking beer and yelling loudly behind the Coast. Police arrested a 48 yr old woman for public intoxication.
- a man became upset with staff when he was refused service at the Coast Cold Beer and Wine Store. Checks were done of the area.
Elsewhere Terrace
- suspicious occurrence at Suwilaaks School. A 10 yr old girl thought she might have been followed by a dark vehicle while walking to school on Friday.
- a parent reported that a teacher yanked her 10 yr old son backwards by his back pack. Police spoke with the people involved. The student was attempting to hit another student so the teacher grabbed him by the backpack and pulled back to stop the assault. The student then refused to attend the principal’s office and went home instead.
- theft from an unlocked grey 2007 Ford Fusion parked on Park Ave sometime between 1 AM and 2 AM. A wallet, keys, and change were stolen.
- a black Telus LG cell phone was found at the Farmer’s Market about 3 weeks ago and turned into the detachment.
- intoxicated man banging on the door of a residence on Park Ave demanding food. Police located the 48 yr old man a few blocks away. He was not intoxicated, just hungry and wanted some Ichiban. Police spoke with him about his actions.
- intoxicated man in the Library Park. Checks were done of area.
- false residential alarm on McConnell Ave
- uttering threats. Police attended to the residence on Pear St. The complaint was unfounded and stemmed from other underlying issues.
- false business alarm on Keith Ave
- a rock was thrown thru a window of a grey 2011 Ford Ranger during the night.
- domestic dispute. A woman was punched by her 29 yr old ex. Under investigation.
- collision between a white Dodge Sprint and a bike on Sparks St near NAPA. The 28 yr old biker was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.
- false business alarm on Keith Ave
- sexual assault investigation
- intoxicated woman on Park Ave. Police located the woman on Davis Ave. The 40 yr old woman was transported to her residence.
Thornhill
- shots heard near Sande Ave. Checks were done of area.
- speeding vehicles on Hemlock Ave. Ongoing issue.
- false residential alarm on Clark St
- a silver van swerving on the road now on the old bridge. Checks were done of area.
- a long haired black German Shepard dog lunged and tried to bite a woman on Hamer Ave / Eby St. The woman was walking with her husband and their leashed dog.
Rural
- a green camouflage nylon wallet was turned into the detachment. The wallet was returned to its owner.
- a man on conditions of no contact is making indirect contact. Under investigation.
- possible impaired driver in a red 1984 Ford pickup truck on Kalum Lake Rd at Deep Creek Fishery. Checks were done of area.
- a blue 2011 Ford Ranger was pulled over on Hwy 16 for going 145 km/hr. The 25 yr old driver did not have a driver’s licence. The vehicle he was driving was impounded for 7 days.
- a blue 2002 Dodge Caravan was observed driving east bound on the wrong side of the road on Hwy 16 East. Checks were done of the area.
