The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 31 calls for service from December 21st, 8 AM till December 22nd, 8 AM. During the same time period
Downtown Terrace
- A white Pontiac Grand Prix was pulled over in a parking lot on Lazelle Ave. The driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a warn. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded. The vehicle did not have insurance. The driver did not have a valid driver’s licence and was prohibited and suspended from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Assault. A person was pushed from behind at the bus stop causing a minor injury. Further details could not be obtained and witnesses were not cooperative.
- A pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk in the Safeway parking lot by a white Ford Explorer. No damage to the vehicle, minor injury to the pedestrian.
- Intoxicated woman refusing to leave the BC Liquor Store. She left prior to police attendance. She was located downtown and spoken with.
- Disturbance on Lakelse Ave. Checks of the area were done.
- Intoxicated and belligerent man at a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. He was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital. Police attended the hospital shortly after and arrested the man when he was causing problems there.
- Intoxicated woman passed out in the washroom of a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested an adult woman.
Elsewhere Terrace
- Missing 42 yr old man.
- Assist Nass Valley RCMP with document service.
- A woman attacking a man with a knife. Police arrested an 18 yr old woman. A knife was seized. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- Four intoxicated people at Adult Probation refusing to leave. Police located the group walking on Haugland Ave headed to the hospital. Police were called shortly after to the hospital when the group started to cause problems there. A 44 yr old man was arrested for breaching a condition of Recognizance of failing to produce documentation when requested. He is held for court.
- A warrant was issued for a 34 yr old man for failing to attend court.
- Sexual interference investigation.
- False business alarm on Keith Ave.
- False alarm at the Damp Shelter.
- Abandoned 911 cellular call.
- Theft. While firemen were out at a residence a thief went into the firetruck and stole various items. Police identified a suspect and arrested an 18 yr old man at his residence. He attempted to run from police but was caught. Some of the stolen items were located in his backpack. A set of keys and firefighting pants are still missing. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
- An intoxicated man sleeping in an unlocked blue 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. The man left prior to police attendance. Police followed tracks in the snow and arrested an intoxicated adult man a short distance away.
- A man was refused entry into the Damp Shelter. Police located the man a short distance away and he was arrested.
- An intoxicated man and woman knocking on doors on Pear St. Police located the two sleeping in a stairwell and spoke with them. They moved on.
- Hit and run at the arena. A Sierra Crew Cab truck backed into a Bandstra transport truck.
- Noisy party on Haugland Ave.
- Alarm on Davis Ave.
Thornhill
- Suicidal woman. Police apprehended the woman under the Mental Health Act and transported her to Mills Memorial Hospital. An amount of drugs were seized. Later in the evening police were called back to the residence when the woman was causing a disturbance and acting in an erratic manner. The woman was arrested.
Rural
- Assist Nass Valley with warrant execution. A 23 yr old man was arrested.
- Found property was returned to the finder for Masset RCMP.
- Some words were painted on a door. Police spoke with the people involved. No criminal offence. A resolution was reached.
- A vehicle in the ditch on Hwy 16 near the Polymar Creek Bridge. The vehicle had been moved.
- Erratic driver in a gold colored Ford F350 with a sled deck passed three vehicles on a double solid line on Hwy 16. Checks of the area were done.
- A vehicle hit the ditch on Hwy 16 near the Shames Mountain turn off. No injuries and minor damage.
