Demolition has begun for Port Alberni’s Arrowview apartments on the corner of Second Avenue and Athol Street
The building is owned by Dean Johnson, owner of Port Alberni’s Howard Johnson Hotel, and Bowerman Excavating are the contractors.
Tim Pley, City of Port Alberni manager, said the city does not have destruction details at this time for the apartment building.
“Right now they’re taking care of the asbestos,” Pley said. “I think their intention is to demolish.”
