Arson suspected in vehicle fire in Williams Lake

Police believe a car was deliberately set on fire shortly after midnight this morning.

Police believe a car was deliberately set on fire shortly after midnight this morning.

At about 12:20 a.m., the Williams Lake RCMP received a call of a vehicle fire at the junction of Western Avenue and Carson Drive.

The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire. No one was injured.

Police say a person was seen leaving the area immediately after the fire started.

The RCMP request the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
