Ashcroft is holding a by-election on Saturday, Aug. 10 to fill the seat left vacant by former Councillor Jackie Tegart, who is now representing us in the B.C. Legislature as MLA for Fraser-Nicola.
Nominations closed last Friday and three people have filed their candidacy: Jessica Clement, Doreen Lambert and Alf Trill.
Election Day is Aug. 10 from 8 am to 8 pm in the Ashcroft Community Hall. There are also four advance polls: July 31 from 8 am to 8 pm, and Aug. 6, 7 and 8 from 8 am to noon and from 1-4 pm. All of the advance polls are also taking place in the Community Hall.
