Attempted abduction in West Kelowna

Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a 3-year-old child Wednesday morning

Police are looking to identify a man alleged to have tried to abduct a 3-year-old girl Wednesday morning.

A woman and her 3 year old daughter were waiting at the Dobbin bus exchange when they were approached by a man they did not know.

The individual said something to the toddler and put his arms out as if to pick her up. This caught the mother’s attention and she yelled at the man who fled north on Dobbin Road on foot.

The man is described as a 30-year-old Caucasian, six-foot two-inches tall and “rough looking.” He was wearing a black sweater or sweatshirt, blue jeans and a blue and white Canucks baseball cap.
