A Vernon man was taken to hospital following an ATV accident Sunday.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP responded to a report of a single ATV rollover in the Noble Canyon Road area near Lavington with a man pinned underneath the machine.
“The rollover happened after the man and his wife went up a hill quite slow,” said Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
“The machine started to roll backwards and it rolled and landed on top of him. The woman passenger (from Vernon) was able to get out.”
Other people ATV-ing in the area assisted in getting the machine off of the 59-year-old man, who was taken to Kelowna General Hospital via helicopter with possible bruised or broken ribs.
